SECURING

 

Install a Kwikset No. 400T, US-3, PK67767KD on front and rear entry doors.  Where a lockset is not practical, use Master Padlock and Hasp (A389).  On other secondary entry doors with existing deadbolt

 

locks, rekey to lock type 67767.  Install slide bolt on any remaining secondary entry doors on the 1st floor.  Resecuring of vandalized properties may be done without prior approval.

 

Mortgagees may use bracing to secure other doors leading to the exterior as needed.  Specifically, bracing should be used only when exterior doors cannot be otherwise secured from the interior.  If you have questions about when to employ bracing contact the M&M contractor.

 

Bracing - Cut a 2x4 inch brace board to fit between the interior doorknob and a cleat board nailed into the floor at a 45-degree angle.
