NO VARIATION TO THE GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.
Install a Kwikset No. 400T, key code 44535 or equivalent on front and rear entry doors. Install a Kwikset Deadbolt Lock or equivalent, key coded to 44535 (3/4” solid bolt) on main entry door if door has an existing dead bolt lock. Secondary doors on 1st floor only should be secured with slide bolt. Use Master Padlock A389 or equivalent on garage and outbuildings.
In-ground pools may be covered with plywood (5/8"). Pool filtering equipment shall be drained and stored safely with other pool accessories found on the property. Under no circumstances shall chicken wire be used to secure a pool. All above ground pools, regardless of condition shall be dismantled, removed and disposed of properly. Mortgagees do not need prior approval to secure pools.
New York City Variations
Board all areas in the New York city area without prior approval with the exception of Dutchess, Putnam, and Rockland Counties.
The following counties are included in this area: Westchester, Bronx, New York, Kings, Queens, Richmond, Nassau and Suffolk. These are the only counties in the state of New York that are pre-approved boarding areas.
There is no required thickness of plywood per the guidelines. Ensure that the thickness of plywood being used is documented on the update/bid and that the corresponding allowable amount is used for bidding/invoicing purposes.
