Proposed Ordinance Tracking
- Property Registration: California, Illinois, New Jersey, New YorkGreece, NY The town of Greece, N.Y. has amended its property registration ordinance to eliminate the $10,000.00 bond requirement. Annual registration is required within 45 days of vacancy and/or default and is accompanied by a fee of $500.00.
- Property Registration: Colorado and New JerseyBurlington Township, NJ The township of Burlington, N.J. has amended its property registration ordinance to require registration within 10 days of foreclosure filing. Annual registration will be accompanied by a fee of $500.00 for occupied properties and $2,500 for vacant properties.
- Property Registration: California, Illinois, New JerseyHarvey, IL The city of Harvey, Ill. has amended its property registration ordinance to reflect a semi-annual fee of $300.00 plus 2% for check payment and 3% for credit card payment. Registration will continue to be required within 10 days of foreclosure filing or vacancy.
- Property Registration: California, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, OhioWashington Township, NJ The township of Washington Township, N.J. has amended its property registration ordinance to require registration within 10 days of foreclosure filing. The program will be accompanied by an annual fee of $500.00 for occupied properties and an additional $2,000.00 for vacant properties.
- Property Registration: Indiana, Michigan, New YorkHammond, IN The city of Hammond, Ind. has amended its property registration requirement to reflect an annual fee of $300.00. The program will continue to require annual registration within 90 days of vacancy.
