SECURING

Per e-mail from Golden Feather on 7/25/02, use a 35241 lock code and an A336 padlock.

Replace front and rear door lock with new Kwikset or equivalent lock.  If other exterior doors cannot be secured with existing hardware, install a 4-inch heavy-duty barrel bolt.  Garages and outbuildings are to be secured by installing a hasp lock and securing it with a key operated padlock.  Turn off all utilities.  Contact utility companies to terminate service.

Swimming Pools:

Pools must be secured within 24 hours of discovery of the pool.  Comply with local laws and ordinances.  The costs for permits to drain pools/spas by local governments are included in the maximum limit and will be reimbursed based on the actual cost incurred.

Prior approval is not required to drain / secure swimming pools.

DEBRIS REMOVAL

Mortgagees are not to perform any interior debris removal except for those items considered to be health or safety hazards or where local code enforcement activity makes it necessary.  If mortgagees find it necessary to proceed with clean up, their review file must be supported with a copy of a Notice of Violation, Abatement Order, or similar documentation.  In all such instances, the mortgagee can proceed with work without the M&M contractors approval up to the amount listed in Attachment 5, Page1.  Anytime the local municipality issues a citation requiring clean-up and debris removal, the mortgagee is responsible for completion of that requirement immediately.
