VA: M26-4 Servicer Handbook Updates
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) updated several sections of the M26-4 Servicer Handbook. In particular, Appendix H: Property Preservation Requiements has been revised to provide updated information regarding winterization and snow removal.

VA Servicer Handbook M26-4 Property Preservation Requirements and Fees Update
On July 1, the VA issued an announcement containing updates to Servicer Handbook M26-4. Specifically, a change has been made to Appendix H: Property Preservation Requirements and Fees. According to the updated appendix, properties that have been determined by the loan servicer to require boarding may now utilize polycarbonate/clearboard for windows, doors and other openings (french doors and sliding doors).
