Forbearance Volume Tails Off on Strength of August Jobs Report
The latest Forbearance and Call Volume Survey from the MBA has found that the total number of loans now in forbearance decreased by two basis points from 3.25% of servicers’ portfolio volume in the prior week to 3.23%.

Fannie Mae: Protections for Renters Affected by COVID-19 Extended
Fannie Mae announced the extension of its multifamily COVID-19 forbearance program through September 30. The program, which requires landlords to suspend all evictions for renters unable to pay rent during the forbearance period, was previously set to expire on June 30.

FHFA: COVID-19 Multifamily Forbearance Extension

HUD extended the period for mortgage forbearance provisions provided under the CARES Act. The extension allows mortgages to be endorsed for insurance when a borrower, after closing, has requested a forbearance due to the COVID-19 National Emergency.
