Memo 1165 - Contractor Web Enhancements & Favorites Option

The Contractor Website will be unavailable Tuesday, 8/1/06, between 7a.m. and 11a.m. EST.

Safeguard is implementing a secure socket layer to encrypt information that is transmitted through the web. This enhancement will not affect the functionality of our site, but you may notice a subtle difference in transmission time.

As with all releases, it is imperative that your Java and browser caches are cleared prior to re-entering the website. If the caches are not cleared, you will encounter errors. Please refer to the contractor web manual if you are unsure of how to clear your cache correctly. If you experience any issues after clearing the cache, please call the help desk at ext. 3999.

We also recommend that Contractor Web users add the login page to the Favorites list within their web browser. Many vendors access this site via a link on our global site: www.safeguardproperties.com, which is a viable option. However, if the global site is unavailable, Contractor Website access will be prevented.

To add a Favorite item, select �Add to Favorites� from the Favorites menu on your web browser while on the Contractor Web login page. Once added, you can select the appropriate webpage from your list of Favorites at any time to be directed to the login page.
