Memo 1164 - Revised Second Bid Procedure
Memo 1043 Second Bids highlights the HUD guideline requirements for submitting second bids. Included are instructions that these bids be faxed directly to the client on the contractor's company letterhead. We must ensure that the only bids included on letterhead are related to the removal of exterior debris and interior/exterior health hazards. Any additional items that are bid to place the property in convey condition should be reported on the contractor web update in the appropriate sections. Please note Oregon and Florida only are exceptions and vendors in these states should also include bids for interior debris on the second bid letterhead. Please refrain from putting see second bid as a comment on contractor web updates. Instead, the bids for exterior and interior debris and interior/exterior health hazard removal should be included in the appropriate sections on the contractor web, in addition to any other conditions requiring bids.
