Memo 1143 - Inspector Solicitations
It has come to our attention that some of our inspectors and contractors have been solicited to distribute marketing material for a non-related third party business while performing inspections at the property address provided to them in strict confidence by Safeguard. Please be advised that Safeguard will not tolerate such activity. All information contained in each work order is strictly confidential and private information, which should never be disclosed to any third party under any circumstances. Safeguard's contract with its clients strictly prohibits making any information relating to the clients property available to any third party. By signing the Safeguard Confidentiality Agreement and performing work for Safeguard, all inspectors/contractors agreed to hold any information relating to inspections confidential. Leaving any material at the property address not related to the property preservation and inspection work performed on behalf of Safeguard and its client is a violation of the Agreement. Participation exposes Safeguard and it's clients to serious risk of potential liability or private lawsuits under state and federal law. Should it come to Safeguard's attention that any inspector/contractor is engaging in the above activity, it will result in Safeguard pursuing all legal action available to stop this practice immediately.
