Memo 1139 Contractor Web Enhancements 1-3-05
To: All REO Contractors
From: R&D Department

Please be advised we will be implementing new programming changes to the contractor website on Tuesday, 1/6/06, from 9:00am - 9:30am. This release contains changes to obtain additional information regarding the status of utilities and refreshing the maid service.

  1. On all non-winterization orders, you will now be required to advise on the status of the utilities and the presence of a sump pump. You will need to report whether the utilities are on or off on arrival and departure and whether or not the sump pump is operable, when applicable. The meter readings and serial numbers will not be needed on non-winterization orders.
  2. On all REO loans for client HHF, you are required to refresh the maid services on every visit. The contractor web will now require you to address the refresh of the maid service and will provide a checklist for you to advise on what work was completed.

We have also received feedback that the scripted and HTML updates were not providing enough space to enter the quantities for debris/health hazard removal. We have increased the limitation from 4 numeric characters to 6 numeric characters, including the decimal point. We have also increased the limit in the comments section of HTML updates from 800 to 2,000.

As with all releases, you will need to clear your Java and browser cache after the new programming has been installed in order for it to work correctly. If you need additional clarification on any of the above information, please contact your Regional Open Order Coordinator. If you experience any technical problems, please contact the help desk at ext. 3999. Please continue to submit feedback to our Research & Development Department (rd@safeguardproperties.com), as the enhancements to our website are based on the information we receive from you as well as our clients requests and industry changes.
