Memo 1133 - Photo Documentation Manual
Safeguard has released several memos on the the importance of photo quality and documentation because we feel these requirements are essential in providing unsurpassed customer service and safeguarding our clients' interest. Photo quality and documentation have been the focus of our two National Vendor Conferences because they guarantee payment for services rendered and continue to be your best insurance policy. At the National Vendor Conferences, we discussed many examples of good and bad photos provided by our vendors. We have gathered these examples into a Photo Documentation Manual for easy reference, to answer questions about Safeguard's photo types provided, and for use as a training tool with your office staff and field crews. The manual has been posted on our website, http://www.safeguardproperties.com/content/view/5/25/1/3/. Our clients require quality photos to document the property condition, damages, debris, hazards, work completed and bids submitted to complete work. Photo documentation is not only a guarantee that work was completed, but it supports your claim that work was completed correctly, thus reducing Safeguard and the client's liability. In addition, high-quality photos have been a successful tool in settling legal complaints from mortgagors against field vendors and Safeguard. Please review the SPI Photo Documentation Manual and communicate the requirements to your staff and field crews. The manual has also been posted on the contractor website for easy reference. If you have any questions regarding photo quality and documentation please contact Jim Connolly (jim.connolly@safeguardproperties.com) at ext. 1393.
