FEMA Declared Disaster South Dakota
On July 30, 2015, FEMA issued a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration for areas in South Dakota as a result of severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding June 17-24, 2015. The following counties and tribal areas are eligible for public assistance:
- Brule, Buffalo, Fall River, Haakon, Hughes, Jackson, Jerauld, Jones, Lyman, McCook, Oglala Lakota (formerly Shannon) and Stanley
- Crow Creek Sioux Tribe (ZIP code 57339; 57346), Lower Brule Sioux Tribe (ZIP code 57548) and the Oglala Sioux Tribe of Oglala Lakota County (ZIP code 57752; 57756; 57764; 57770; 57772; 57794)
