Exterior inspections provide valuable information about the condition and status of a property.
Inspectors visit defaulted properties to verify the occupancy status, determine the exterior condition of the property, and inform the servicer of any adverse conditions. Most importantly, inspectors verify and report on whether the property appears to be occupied or vacant. They also provide a detailed description of the exterior condition of the property and report issues such as exterior damage, unsecured doors or windows and tall grass. Inspectors also will note the presence of “For Sale” signs, citations and notices.
