FHLMC Doing Business in Hurricane Isaac Affected Areas
On September 4, Freddie Mac issued an announcement entitled "Important Reminder for Doing Business in Areas Affected by Hurricane Isaac."
Important Reminder for Doing Business in Areas Affected by Hurricane Isaac
At Freddie Mac, we are committed to seeking ways to provide assistance to borrowers – especially when their homes have been impacted by a natural disaster. While it is premature to determine the full impact of Hurricane Isaac, borrowers whose homes have been damaged may not be able to make timely mortgage payments. In light of the devastation caused by Hurricane Isaac and the issuance of a Major Disaster Declaration by the President of the United States that offers individual assistance, Freddie Mac Servicers are reminded to begin following the disaster relief requirements outlined in the Single-Family Seller/Servicer Guide and on Freddie Mac’s Disaster Relief Policies Web page.
