Fannie Mae DU Refi Plus Updates-SSN and Loan Address Data

On March 28, Fannie Mae released Servicing News: DU Refi Plus Updates: SSNs and Loan Address Data.

DU Refi Plus: SSNs and Loan Address Data Updates
Fannie Mae would like to remind servicers how to request corrections to Social Security numbers (SSNs) and loan addresses in order for new loan casefiles to be underwritten with DU Refi PlusTM. For those loan casefiles that are not able to be underwritten as DU Refi Plus due to an inaccurate SSN, lenders should send SSN correction requests to their Account Team with the DU® Casefile ID for the new refinance transaction, or contact the Customer Contact Center to submit the correction request. Loan address updates/corrections must be completed by the current servicer within the customer-facing servicing application Servicer's Reconciliation Facility (SURFTM) via a Loan Activity Report (LAR) transaction 82. View the Data Updates for DU document in the Resources section of the Home Affordable Refinance page on our website for more details, including the DU Refi Plus Reference File Database Update 2012 Schedule.
